Diva's Got A Brand New Bag!

I guess I'm all for creating a unique look with everything I do LOL. So during one of those "Phases" I've talked about before, I became a Cigar Box collecting fool.

The more unusual they were, the more I loved them. Since I new where I was going with it I only collected the nice wooden ones. Even though I don't smoke the neighborhood Cigar store became one of my favorite stops for a while LOL. You know you're doing too much when the people not only working in the store, but visiting, know you on site LOL. So needless to say, I have lots of those things still hanging around. But I do like to pull them out every once in a while, dig through my Jumbo Zip bag of purse handles, hinges and other metal adornment and create a fun box or purse. The ones shown here were all created for other people. The top one was for a lady to give as a gift to her niece. What fun that was. Oh here's the other side of that one.

This one I made for a lady that dreamed of a Pink Harley. It's called Harley Girl. It says Dream on the top. The top is a glass door knob. It's fun to put those small locks on these.

This one was a part of a Bridal Set. This was for her to keep her Garter and other small items in. I also made their Wedding Books. They were very happy, whew, so was I. I guess I kinda get attached to everything until it is out of my site...and then I just look at pictures every once in a while LOL.

Every once in a while I would pull out the Sewing Machine and go at it. LOL. Usually it was purses, but I have ventured into other things at times LOL. When my daughter was in Kindgergarten and First Grade I made everything from clothes, to pajamas to Comforters LOL. Wow... those were the days. Now, I look at the Sewing Machine a lot and sometimes I move it to psyche myself out!

Heavy duty! Trust me. Okay okay, I made this one from Upholstery Fabric :-)
I made the strap especially for carrying it over the shoulder

Here's the back of it

Oh well, back to the Canvas.
Thank you for showing me some Blog Love.
Hugs!

WADING IN THE WATER

Thats me having a blast in Monterey, Giving it to the Ocean!

Well I am back and I tell you, there is nothing like just dropping life down an level and chilling all the way out! The water at Monterey was just amazingly beautiful and fresh, the energy was amazing and I've already painted about 5 new paintings in my head. Look at these beautiful pictures

This is the View from the Balcony of our Room

Me and My daughter getting used to the cool water

LOL, that's my daughter, soaking up Nature I'd say LOL

You know I always have to show the food LOL.
This is Crab Benedict breakfast...Yummmmmm

So have you ever seen one of these machine in a mall or other location?
It's worth the few dollars. It really is. A wonderful Water Massage without removing your clothes or getting wet! The relaxation was tremendous!

My Message in the Sand!

Fly High Baby, Fly High!
(That's my other Message LOL)

I think I'm in love with my Camera LOL.

Okay, so here I am in the Chamber LOL. Loving this!

So this was us celebrating the End of Summer and the Beginning of Fall.
I had to stop LOL...I realized I took...listen to this...305 pictures from Friday Afternoon til Saturday Afternoon. Wow! Getting some use out of that Kodak! Needless to say,

Monterey was absolutely fabulous and I now have at least 5 paintings stored in my brain. I'm painting right now but have stepped away from the Ocean and into the Jungle. This is a big stretch for me. Most of my paintings are centered around the Ocean. There is a message but most of them have a message of some sort I guess. I guess all Art contains some sort of message. The love the person put into it, the depth of where they went when they created the Art. Ever heard someone sing so beautiful brought you to tears? That person probably put their soul into that song. Maybe you've seen Art that drew you in or an Actor play a part so well you were almost convinced they were the person. One day I watched as a lady put together a TuTu. No joke, I was taken in with the love she was putting into those things. Before long I was joking about her making one for me (now that would be a good way to traumatize a whole bunch of people at once LOL). It was her love for her Craft that came through. That's putting soul in it!
Love stepping out of the Box.

THE OTHER MAN IN MY LIFE

My new article is posted on Divapreneur. This one is talks about the importance of relationships (straight relationships, no hanky panky LOL) with the opposite sex. It was a lot of fun to do as I interviewed several people in the process. Please take a gander and tell me what you think :-)

This painting is called Wisdom! Or something LOL. Painted it a long time ago and have renamed it a few times LOL

Well I'm off to see the Wizard. Well in my case the Wizard is the Ocean. Monterey here I come, again. LOL I hope everyone has a great day. If you're alone this weekend take yourself on a date! Thats the Ultimate Date!

But I did manage to make quite a few pieces before I took that hat off and moved on to another craft LOL. Diva of many crafts and Master of... well I think I'm a Master at jumping all over the map with this Art stuff. LOL. I can't help you! You understand...don't ya? LOL... Have a great day or night.

OFF THE CUFF!!!

Did I ever tell you that for years my main source of living was Jewelry. Diviacity started as a Jewelry business. I always dabbled in other forms of art and mixed media art but Jewelry paid the bills. Sort of. LOL. Anyway, my favorite piece to make was and is still the Cuff Bracelet. I love the free form style, the way each piece comes out different and the way the people that own them light up. These are a few of my cuff bracelets.

The top one was my first Cuff Bracelet. I named it Chaos!

Well, gotta run. Working on a painting and some other stuff and it's near midnight, which means I still have about 3 more hours of stuff to keep me going LOL) I love this Art stuff. Just love it!

CHOCOLATE & WINE

Well I have finally finished my latest instructional video 'Chocolate & Wine' an Interactive Journal. This one shows how to make a Journal that you can get a whole lot of extra use out of with lots of pockets and slots that I show you how to create! This time I got a bright idea and decided to put a slide show a the end of the video for people who don't have time to sit through the video but would like to see how it's put together. What do you think? Was that a good idea? hmmmm I never know LOL... doing too much is my middle name. Oh I called it Chocolate & Wine because this particular Journal I made for storing Delicious Sweets recipes and to keep a Wine Journal with pockets for labels & stuff :-) I also added some slides of a Family Journal made using the same process :-) Click the pic to get there. If you can please leave me a note letting me know that you visited.

Excited to get back to my newest painting though. It's a little different than my usual ones because it's not at the water LOL... but of course Mother Nature took over LOL. I bought myself some Bob Ross paint brushes that for some reason I've been treating like they are made of gold LOL. I guess because he's actually the only Artists that I have followed for many many years even watching old reruns every Saturday on PBS now LOL. I always admired how peaceful he was and what he could do to that canvas in only a short while.

So what are you up to today? I hope you're having a great one and are in good spirits!
Life is good!

LETTERS TO MYSELF

My latest article is posted on Divapreneur Magazine. This one is called 'LETTER TO MYSELF' Its just as personal to me as my other articles because I know first hand the benefits of keeping Letters to Myself!

You may have noticed that many more people are Journaling now. What you may not know is that Journaling is so much more than writing your thoughts. It's Healing, it's Recording Your History, It's Getting to know yourself and so much more. I have used Journals for years and believe me, going back sometimes and seeing the patterns I've repeated (we won't talk about that LOL) and the growth I've made is a tremendous thing.

Please read my Article and think about the benefits Journaling can provide you. Link to Article Please check out my other Articles while you are there.

Have a colorful day!

PEACE, LOVE & SUSHI!

A couple of times I noticed on my son's Facebook page that he mentioned he had been in a Sushi Coma. One of the many things we have in common is that we both love Sushi. He lives in New York so I'm sure he has access to some really yummy Sushi! Anyway..... I always laugh when I see that statement until.... today. Recently I've eaten more than my fair share of Sushi. Aside from the fact that I love it, it's just a super easy thing to do when cooking is just not an option. Who wants to turn the stove on when it's a million degrees outside.

Today...I experienced Sushi Coma! I started feeling the nap about midway through lunch with my friend Kathryn from KVCreative Designs. We feasted on a lunch of Spider Rolls, Shrimp Tempura Roll topped off with Salmon and a Cherry Blossom (pictured below). Can I just say OMG! Yummy!

I wanted to mention the name of the place but the service was so awful I cant even recommend. The food was however, delicious. But it was one of those things were if the food wasn't so damn good the place would have gotten a full Thumbs down! The service was awful and the Waitress was in one of those "if you say the wrong thing I might cut you" kind of moods.

Well that nap was unreal. I think I have to slow down on the Sushi LOL. Woke up in a fog. Forgot was I was planning on doing LOL. It's 11:30 something at night and I guess I'll create some Art now!

Oh, my latest article is up on Divapreneur Magazine. This one is called 'The Ultimate Date'. If you've had this Ultimate Date then you are fortunate. If not, hook it up! :-)
